The Patchwork Mini Duffle from Knot & Thread is a beautiful way to show off your favorite fabrics in a bold, patchwork duffle bag that is roomy enough for a weekend getaway. This bag features easy-access exterior slip pockets, a double-head zipper, and softly curved corners for a professional finish.

In this advanced beginner class, you will learn how to:
• Install a double-head zipper
• Create and attach your own bias binding
• Construct a bag with curved corners
• Assemble a fully lined, structured duffle bag

Some prework is required before class.

Choose the session that works best for you:

One-day intensive:
Monday, May 4, 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Two-evening option:
Tuesdays, May 5 and 12, 5:30 - 8:30 PM

If you would like help completing the patchwork piecing before class, consider signing up for the Patchwork Foundations for Bag Making workshop on Tuesday, April 21.

Cancellation Policy

I totally understand that schedules can get a little wild sometimes! If something comes up and you can’t make it to class, here’s how I handle cancellations:

  • More than 72 hours before class: No worries at all—I'm happy to either move you to a future session or give you a full refund.
  • Less than 72 hours before class starts: Let me know as soon as you can. If I’m able to fill your spot, I’ll gladly move you to another date or issue you store credit to use later.
  • No-show with no notice: Your class fee will be forfeited. I know that’s a bummer, but I’ve already planned, prepped, and paid for your spot—kind of like buying a concert ticket. If you can’t make it and give me a heads up, there’s a much better chance I can help!

If you’re unsure what applies to your situation, just reach out—I’m always happy to talk it through and see what we can figure out.
