Carry your sewing projects, everyday essentials, or just about anything else in a tote that's roomy, practical, and fun to make! In this class, you'll work on the Fieldstone Tote, a modern, boxy carry-all pattern by Noodlehead. With two sizes and two different styles to choose from, you can customize your tote based on how you plan to use it.
Students may choose to make either the Mini or Regular size, as well as their preferred style. View A features an open tote top with an interior zippered hanging pocket, while View B features a zippered top closure with an interior slip pocket.
Throughout this one-session class, you'll learn techniques for constructing a structured, dimensional tote, working with webbing handles, installing pockets and zippers, and creating clean, professional finishes. Along the way, you'll pick up tips for accurate construction, managing bulk, and getting polished results when sewing bags.
This class is best suited for confident beginners to intermediate sewists who are comfortable using a sewing machine and have some experience sewing with zippers.
You'll learn how to:
- Construct a structured, boxy tote
- Add sturdy webbing handles
- Create either an interior zippered hanging pocket or interior slip pocket
- Install a zippered top closure when making View B
- Work through dimensional bag construction
- Use techniques for clean, professional-looking results

- More than 72 hours before class:Ā No worries at allāI'm happy to either move you to a future session or give you a full refund.
- Less than 72 hours before class starts:Ā Let me know as soon as you can. If Iām able to fill your spot, Iāll gladly move you to another date or issue you store credit to use later.
- No-show with no notice:Ā Your class fee will be forfeited. I know thatās a bummer, but Iāve already planned, prepped, and paid for your spotākind of like buying a concert ticket. If you canāt make it and give me a heads up, thereās a much better chance I can help!
