Join us to make the beautiful Crescentwood Quilted Bag, the newest pattern by The Blanket Statement. This modern crescent-shaped bag is the perfect mix of quilting and bag making, with lots of opportunities to play with color, texture, and quilting details.

In this class, you will learn how to confidently sew curved seams, install a curved zipper (easier than you might think), and work with pattern pieces to build a polished, structured bag. The Crescentwood is a great project for learning new techniques while creating a bag that is both stylish and practical.

We will also explore quilting accents and creative fabric combinations, making this a great opportunity to mix prints, solids, and color palettes to create a bag that feels uniquely yours.

Key Skills You’ll Learn

-Sewing smooth curved seams
-Installing a curved zipper
-Working with bag pattern pieces and shaping
-Adding quilting accents for texture and structure
-Mixing and matching fabrics for a balanced design

This class is ideal for confident beginners and intermediate sewists who want to expand their bag-making skills while making a modern quilted accessory.

Cancellation Policy

I totally understand that schedules can get a little wild sometimes! If something comes up and you can’t make it to class, here’s how I handle cancellations:

  • More than 72 hours before class: No worries at all—I'm happy to either move you to a future session or give you a full refund.
  • Less than 72 hours before class starts: Let me know as soon as you can. If I’m able to fill your spot, I’ll gladly move you to another date or issue you store credit to use later.
  • No-show with no notice: Your class fee will be forfeited. I know that’s a bummer, but I’ve already planned, prepped, and paid for your spot—kind of like buying a concert ticket. If you can’t make it and give me a heads up, there’s a much better chance I can help!

If you’re unsure what applies to your situation, just reach out—I’m always happy to talk it through and see what we can figure out.
