Neon Flashback Quilty Tote

This bag began as an 80s/90s-inspired quilt project and evolved into a vibrant, one-of-a-kind tote bursting with color and personality. The front features two bold patchwork blocks in a hot pink–to–magenta gradient, pieced from fat quarters found at the Oaks Quilt Show and treasures pulled from my stash.

Turn it around and the back lights up in electric yellows and bright oranges for a full-spectrum throwback feel. The scrappy exterior is sprinkled with fussy-cut surprises—strawberries, balloon dogs, and even a tiny frog tucked into the patchwork—and incorporates Essex Yarn Dyed cotton-linen blend for beautiful texture and durability.

Quilted over fleece stabilizer, the tote is soft and flexible while still structured enough to hold its shape. Black cotton/poly webbing straps make it comfortable to carry, and a magnetic snap closure keeps everything secure. Inside, a divided pocket helps keep essentials organized.
