Ready to build your confidence or get started with bag-making?

This one session workshop focuses on the fundamentals of bag construction while creating the Bookish Tote by Craft Owl Handmade. There are two dates to choose from to take this workshop.

The Bookish Tote is a roomy everyday bag that introduces techniques commonly used in bag making, including working with structure, sewing gentle curves, attaching straps, and assembling a lined bag using the drop-in method. Along the way, you'll build skills that can be applied to a wide variety of future bag projects.

Whether you're interested in expanding beyond quilting, exploring bag making for the first time, or simply adding new construction techniques to your sewing toolbox, this class provides a guided, step-by-step approach to creating a polished finished tote.

Cancellation Policy

I totally understand that schedules can get a little wild sometimes! If something comes up and you can’t make it to class, here’s how I handle cancellations:

  • More than 72 hours before class:Ā No worries at all—I'm happy to either move you to a future session or give you a full refund.
  • Less than 72 hours before class starts:Ā Let me know as soon as you can. If I’m able to fill your spot, I’ll gladly move you to another date or issue you store credit to use later.
  • No-show with no notice:Ā Your class fee will be forfeited. I know that’s a bummer, but I’ve already planned, prepped, and paid for your spot—kind of like buying a concert ticket. If you can’t make it and give me a heads up, there’s a much better chance I can help!

If you’re unsure what applies to your situation, just reach out—I’m always happy to talk it through and see what we can figure out.
